To the Amuri Community - IMPORTANT UPDATE

Due to the ongoing developments around Covid 19, and on recommendation by Royal GP college and Ministry of Health, Amuri Community Health Centre has had to make some changes.
We must limit the number of patients entering the clinic so as of Monday, and in line with all other primary practices, Amuri Health Centre will no longer be providing face to face consultations for non urgent and non essential health issues.

Our doors will be closed but we are still here doing our best for the community and your health concerns are important to us.
Amuri will offer Telephone consultation with our doctors for all patients where necessary. Consult charges will apply. Video consults may also be offered if the GPs feel necessary- the process for this will be discussed during prior Tele consultation.

On site consultation and assessment will be by PRIOR NURSE OR GP TRIAGE ONLY.

Those with appointments already made for this week will be contacted and triaged.
There will be no routine screening, treatments or health checks offered for the foreseeable future.

Childhood vaccination, Depo Provera and INR monitoring WILL continue but you need to call the nurse to make arrangements for this.
The booked flu clinics WILL CONTINUE for those over 65yrs, pregnant or with chronic conditions.

Flu clinics will be held in the Rotherham church under strict hygiene conditions- please delay your appointment if you are unwell. Please arrive on time and wait to be called in. Flu clinic appointments will be taken as usual through our reception.

We are offering telephone repeat prescription for ALL our patients as your next prescriptions become due, although some may require a GP or nurse Tele consult first. Prescriptions will ONLY be issued for 3 months - there is NO need to stockpile medication supplies. Usual prescription charges apply and will be invoiced to accounts.

We understand these are unsettling times for all and our aim is to continue to provide as best care we can within the parameters of our directives from MOH. We will always be available for further advice and support by phone, so please don’t hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns.
