Flu Vaccines

Flu vaccines will be available at Amuri Health Centre mid-April onwards.

This year's vaccine is a tetravalent meaning it covers 4 strains where previous vaccines only covered 3.

Flu Vaccines are free for all pregnant women, those over 65years and all those with a chronic health condition such as (but not limited to) Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Cancer If you are not sure if you are eligible for a free flu vaccine, please give our nurses a call to discuss.

Also...

For 2018 Amuri Health Centre is pleased to be able to offer FREE Flu vaccines for all infants, children and youth 18yrs and under. Due to the nature of this year's influenza viruses we encourage vaccination and are happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

Before you visit:


Telephone consultations and face to face consultations are still available
Please phone 03 315 6328 for an appointment.
When phoning for an appointment, please tell the receptionist if you have any respiratory symptoms:
new or worsening cough
sore throat
shortness of breath sneezing and runny nose
loss of sense of smell or altered sense of taste, or a fever
headache
contact with person who may have been exposed to COVID

When you visit:

We politely request you still wear a mask if you display any resipratoy symptoms, this helps to keep the wider community safe.
You may still be asked to be seen via th Ambulance bay if there is any doubt on the type of infection you may have.

Continue to practice social distancing

Covid vaccinations are still available.
Please call the Health centre to arrange a day and time for your vaccine.
