Rural Practice Nurses

We are very fortunate to have skilled, experienced Practice Nurses working at our Health Centre. They provide nurse lead clinics as well as working alongside our GP's. We generally have 2 nurses on each day.

We have PRIME trained nurses which enables us to provide first response emergency care.

Weekend on call

The after-hours phone directs your call to HML the after-hours triaging service.  They will connect you to the after-hours GP or PN if required.  The on call service is run by Hanmer Springs Medical Centre.

District Nurses

Although the District Nurses are employed by Amuri Health Care Ltd, they are based in Health Centres around the
Hurunui district and maintain very close links with the Heath Centres.
