Corona Virus – Covid-19

Please help us protect the health of all Amuri residents and our staff!

When you call Amuri Health Centre for an appointment, all callers will now be asked 4 questions. We understand that this will take a little extra time and may be seen as an inconvenience to some but it IS IMPORTANT.

  1. You WILL be asked if your call is related to Corona Virus or Flu like symptoms

  2. You WILL be asked if you have recently travelled and if yes, where

  3. You WILL be asked if you have been in contact with someone who has recently travelled. And if yes, where.

This is important to our triaging process to evaluate risk to all our patients and staff, regardless of whether you have symptoms or not.

Current countries of concern highlighted as high risk by the Ministry of Health are:
Mainland China, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand
If you have travelled to or through any of these countries we advise SELF ISOLATION for 14 days from return, as per Ministry of Health recommendations.

Self Isolation is remaining at home and away form physical contact with others. If contact with others or being in a public place is an absolute necessity a surgical grade mask should be worn and strict cough/sneeze and hand hygiene precautions adhered to.
Any questions contact Amuri Health Centre for further advice

If you develop any FEVER AND LOWER RESPIRATORY (Cough, shortness of breath) please call Healthline 0800 611 116 or an Amuri Health Centre Nurse 03 315 6328 – DO NOT COME IN

4. You WILL also be asked if your call is related to any possible skin infection

There has been a number of contagious skin infections within the community and there are a number of people entering the medical centre with these lesions uncovered. This puts others at risk. The nurse will discuss your concerns and will offer an appointment or advise accordingly
PLEASE KEEP ALL OPEN WOUNDS COVERED AT ALL TIMES, especially within the health centre.
