Call for possible measles contacts to come forward and contact Healthline.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is asking for people who are currently in New Zealand but who travelled in February on international flights to Melbourne, Australia from Dubai, and Singapore, to come forward and contact Healthline immediately on 0800 611 116. 

This is in response to Australian health authorities confirming to Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora that confirmed measles cases on two flights in February.

Latest information about flights and other relevant information can be found on Te Whatu Ora’s Locations of Interest page.
We are asking anyone who travelled on those flights to contact Healthline immediately and to stay home until they receive advice from public health services.  Contacts may already be developing symptoms of measles, so it is important to contact Healthline urgently.

When phoning for an appointment, please tell the receptionist if you have any respiratory symptoms:
new or worsening cough
sore throat
shortness of breath sneezing and runny nose
loss of sense of smell or altered sense of taste, or a fever
headache
contact with person who may have been exposed to COVID

When you visit:

We politely request you still wear a mask if you display any resipratoy symptoms, this helps to keep the wider community safe.
You may still be asked to be seen via th Ambulance bay if there is any doubt on the type of infection you may have.

Covid vaccinations are still available.
Please call the Health centre to arrange a day and time for your vaccine.
