While we try to ensure that we run to time, the doctors and nurses sometimes deal with emergencies or urgent situations leading to unforeseen delays. We appreciate your understanding when this happens.

However, often the delays are due to 15-minute appointments being booked when more time is required, perhaps to address multiple issues, or perhaps opportunistic consultations for family members, maybe children.

If you need additional time for a family member or to discuss multiple issues, please make sure you book appropriately, and consider the impact on another patients’ appointment time, which can result in the GP running late. If your appointment time extends for any of these reasons you may be charged an additional fee.
