While we try to ensure that we run to time, the doctors and nurses sometimes deal with emergencies or urgent situations leading to unforeseen delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding when this happens.
However, often the delays are due to patients only booking 15-minute appointments when more time is needed to address multiple issues, or ‘piggyback’ consultations for family members, maybe children. These appointments should be at least 30 minutes.
If you require additional time for a family member or to discuss multiple issues, make sure you book appropriately, and consider the impact on another patients’ appointment time, which can result in the GP running late.
If your appointment time extends for any of these reasons you will be charged for the extra time.
Thank you Amuri health
